Community Visits with Ocean Kids Health

We work alongside your child’s key educators and support staff to provide recommendations and strategies to help your child do more of the things they love! E.g., playing on the playground and joining in with their peers in activities.

In our initial visit, we will assess the environment and provide activity recommendations and strategies to enhance your child’s motor skills to their educators. Following this, we are able to provide regular sessions in this environment if preferred. These visits are a great opportunity for us to enhance your child’s ability to participate more fully in their environment with their peers.

We also provide equipment recommendations, sensory regulation strategies, manual handling training sessions and educational sessions for educators to support your child.

Our team can organise trials with our equipment representatives, for your child to trial appropriate equipment in your home environment e.g. standers, walkers, seating and bikes. These trials are a great opportunity for us to assess the functionality of the item in the environment it will be used in together.

We love home visits as they allow us to utilise toys and equipment that you already have to provide you with new and exciting ideas to achieve your childs goals all in the comfort of your own home.

We can meet you at a location of choice specific to your kiddos skill-based goals to help them practice, observe their technique and provide recommendations on practice ideas.

We love working collaboratively with your childs therapy and support team.
Being out in the community means we can complete joint therapy sessions at home, at daycare, kinder or schools and attend community team meetings. We also love working with your childs carer to progress their exercise and activity programs to continue achieving their goals!

We understand it is simply not possible for some families to access our clinics. Not to worry, we can visit you and assess your child in the comfort of your own home, providing you with strategies to start to assist your child enhance their development and motor skills!
