Our experienced Paediatric Physiotherapists and Paediatric Exercise Physiologists are very passionate about raising awareness about hypermobility and hypotonia in children.
In Australian children, approximately 26% of girls and 11% of boys have joint hypermobility (Morris et.al 2016) and there are even more children with hypotonia! Children with joint hypermobility and / or hypotonia may have difficulties with posture, strength, endurance, coordination, motor skills and fatigue along with autonomic nervous system issues and mental health issues and participation.
Our group aims to connect families and children with joint hypermobility and / or hypotonia, to form friendships and support systems. Our amazing group, Flex-Ability, as run by our Physiotherapists and Exercise Physiologists allows your child to participate in weekly, goal based sessions, focusing on building and improving strength, balance, body awareness and confidence in a FUN and supportive environment!
